Boy’s Home

After our move back to North India, in 2006, and starting our training courses in various cities and interior villages for the Church leaders and pastors who preside in those areas without a proper Bible College level theological qualifications. We came to see that there were too many children in these villages who weren’t taken care of well, owing to the fact that these kids grow up in utter poverty due to alcohol and drug addiction among either one or both of the parents. Seeing the plight of these little kids and the burden God placed in our hearts to give back to the society in gratefulness of the wonderful ways God has lead us in our personal lives, bringing us out of nothingness to a place where we have far more than we can imagine today, we set out in search for children and families that we could help. After praying with regard to this matter, God led us to four boys whose families weren’t in any condition to provide for them and neither were their parents in the Lord. By faith, that God would help us provide for the basic amenities and the schooling for these boys, we got them out from their villages to the city that we currently stay in.

Looking back from today to the time ten years ago, we can testify of the faithfulness of God in their lives. These boys came in and started their education at a local school at Lower Kindergarten level and now three of them are in 7th Grade and one of them was given a grace jump to 8th Grade because of his ability to grasp things at a quicker pace. God has rewarded his stewardship towards his studies and his good character, this year by making him the Head Boy (Head Prefect) of his school. The other three boys are doing very well in their studies as well and they make us very proud. Each of them blessed with their specific set of talents are contributing to the church in their capacities.

Since, their previous care takers informed us of their desire to go for their further theological studies in the December of 2015.  Our daughter and son-in-law have since then offered to taking care of these kids at their home. The boys have now been with them for the last 2 years. The family set up and the relationship between them as elder brother and sister, allow the kids to open up at a very personal level about questions regarding life and faith. Apart from mentoring these kids in their studies and faith life, there’s a bond of friendship that binds them close to each other.

We are in the process of looking for a new school for the eldest child, as the school they go to currently only has up to the Grade 8. We urge you to partner with us in prayer regarding this matter and the huge change that is about happen in their lives. If you’d like to know more about this, head on down to the contact us page and leave us a message. We will be sure to get back to you.

We especially want to thank God foremost and to everyone who has partnered with us in taking care of the needs our four boys. We couldn’t have done it without your support.
